Winter 2020 News

Welcome to winter (or summer depending on which hemisphere you are reading this!). I hope that you are all well wherever you are. Much as happened since we last met…

GUARDIAN’S BEST GRAPHIC NOVELS of 2020

THE GUARDIAN picked The Wolf of Baghdad as one of their best graphic novels of 2020!

You can buy a copy from the publishers, Myriad Editions or from your lovely local bookshop. If you can’t get out then consider buying from alternative online seller Bookshop.org which supports independent shops.

THE WOLF OF BAGHDAD MOTION COMIC:

NEW! RENT or BUY THE DOWNLOAD

The motion comic is now available to rent as a livestream or, if you want the full package with all the extras, to buy as a download and keep forever. Please see my website shop HERE.

MANCHESTER JEWISH MUSEUM:

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE SOUND LIKE ?

I was recently invited to take part in a project by the museum’s creative producer Laura Seddon and musician extraordinaire Francesca Ter Berg to highlight the diversity of the UK Jewish music scene. Along with fellow artists Polina Shepherd, Anna Lowenstein and Ana Silvera, a series of five short films featuring us were created. These exclusive digital conversations will be released over the first 6 days of Chanukah, starting on 10 December 2020. Sign up HERE early to receive a special Chanukah gift in the post!

WOLF OF BAGHDAD ONLINE PRESENTATION

Thanks to C-19 we are now in the new era of Zoom and I’ve been doing a lot of virtual presentations about The Wolf of Baghdad project to communities and organisations all around the world. The presentation features an exclusive preview of the motion comic, along with a slideshow and talk on the making of the project that includes background history of the Jews of Iraq.

If you’d like to book one please do get in touch, it can be tailored to suit your audience.

INTERVIEW WITH RADIO SEFARAD

I was interviewed about the Wolf by the lovely Linda Jimenez-Glassman for the English Corner show at Radio Sefarad. You can hear it HERE.

That’s all for now. Keep safe and well and I hope to see you soon, if not onscreen, then in real life!

Carol
