The Surreal McCoy, a cartoonist and illustrator, is widely published in the New Yorker, Sunday Times, Private Eye, Spectator, Readers’ Digest and many other unlikely places. Has illustrated books including Girls Are Best by Sandi Toksvig and Alex Through The Looking Glass by Alex Bellos. Work is regularly exhibited at galleries and cartoon festivals in the UK and Europe. ‘Deep Home’, a short-form graphic memoir, is published in autumn 2017 in the US/UK comics anthology The Strumpet.


Carol Isaacs is a classically-trained pianist, keyboard player and accordionist working in pop and world music. Recorded and toured worldwide with artists such as Sinead O’Connor (Ireland), The Indigo Girls (USA), Squeeze (UK), Ghostland (UK), Latin Quarter (UK), Ahmed Mukhtar (Iraq), Abdel Ali Slimani (Algeria), Phongsit Kampee and Surachai Janthimatorn (Thailand). Founder member of the London Klezmer Quartet and Hamsa, playing Jewish music from Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean.

The Wolf of Baghdad is partly funded thanks to the Arts Council England and the Exilarch’s Foundation (Dangoor Education, in memory of Sir Naim Dangoor).
